Savoring the last bay bath of the year, I spent twenty minutes in the water. Geese, gulls, and cormorants came out to celebrate. The little green marsh periwinkles returned like clockwork, and they were scattered as far as one could see across the sandy bay floor. Schools of minnows zig-zagged across the shallows. On the way home, the spring peepers were singing. See you next year!
