Here’s a quick video I put together with Runway to celebrate, along with the components, to illustrate a bit about how it works (below).
The final edit was with Adobe Premiere. However, here are the components:
Start with two still images of the interior (I can only find one that I used, lost the other- will add it when I track it down, but it is the first frame of the second of the two videos, below)
I gave Runway the two images, set them as the first frame for the video, and gave the prompt “establishing wide shot”. From there, Runway generated a clip from each image:
I then gave Runway a screenshot of the Meet Up page with the simple (untested) instructions, “Put the image on a movie screen”.
and Runway did a great job (never knew it was so savvy with context)
I reversed the video’s direction in Premiere to have it zoom in instead of out.
Then came the fun part: I ran Runway’s own video through Runway’s new video-to-video filter using the “paper animation style”. And Runway turned the Milton Theater into a swanky night club!!! Queue the deep house tracks.
Stitch ’em all together, add some music… and it’s good to go.
