I helped my mom study for the GRE when I was in elementary school. She got a perfect score and was accepted into the Harvard Graduate School of Education. I gained an erudite and perspicacious lexicon as a fourth-grade pedagogue. She went on to get a masters and a doctorate and then taught there for many years. Most of my childhood (4th to 12th grade) was shaped by my mom commuting to Cambridge. Four days a week, I stayed with the Sheaffers, Gilmores, Pikuses, and at my grandmother’s. Harvard’s always been a big part of my life. I might have to get some new gear. Also, shout out to Girl in Red.
